Personal spaces?

A while back, tlarkin suggested a category where he could answer computer tech questions. Good idea. It hasn't been used much, but it's nice to know it's available. And last night I gave texast her personal category too, so she could start spreading the word according to T. It seems to me we're onto something here.
I'm going to set up a Topic section called "Personal Spaces," where people can start their own threads. Although I hope people will continue to socialize in the Break Room, and post about shooting and guns in the relevant Topic sections, anyone here can request a personal space. Ideally, I'd like to see people kind of staking out their personal territories in them, talking about their special areas of knowledge or things that are near and dear to their hearts.
But there are no restrictions. If you request a Personal Space it's yours, period. You can start threads about anything you want, barring stuff so patently offensive it breaks even my loose rules. They'll be normal threads of course, where any other member can weigh in. But if someone else starts a thread in your space, I'll move it or remove it.
If you want your own space, you can let me know in this thread or send me a private message. Let's see how this works out....
OK, the deed is done. There's a new topics section, called "Soapboxes." If you have an urge to stand on one, I'm issuing them free. Although with the weird hours I work, you may have to wait until I wake up to fill your order.
Smileys with Craig would be a good 'un.

How about it, Neo? Shall I give you a soapbox entitled, "Smileys with Craig"? Or do you have a better title for it?
By the way, tlarkin isn't restricted to tech talk just because that's the name of his soapbox.....
nice to be considered:)
Mine wouldn't have a pizza'z.
I can jump in with smile'ys :)
anytime now. ![]()
With 'texast, tlarkin' all is well:)
OK, neo. You have your own space now.
Of course, that doesn't mean you have to restrict yourself to posting there. You're a big part of this forum, and you help to keep it moving. But if you want to lay out your personal viewpoint of the world instead of just commenting on other people's posts, that's a good place to do it.
