Not even a US source of news.  Seems like also it is pretty much confirmed she doesn't know how to play ball either, and was totally in this whole thing for her self.

Well, flash cards are a common way of getting people up to speed in a hurry; she certainly isn't the only candidate whose staff has used them during preparation for campaigns.  Hers may have had to be a little broader than others have needed, but I'm certainly not going to laugh at her for using them.....

I was more interested in the excerpts from the victory and concession speeches she wanted to make.  Quite gracious; I wonder how much was her words or views, and how much was straight from a speechwriter?

Nor is it news that she and the McCain camp were at loggerheads.  What isn't totally clear is how much of the problem was simply because she was a poor mixture of ambitious, ignorant and bull headed, and how much of it was due to poor attitude and arrogance on the part of McCain's aides.  If we were getting a view from her camp, we might be hearing that she didn't appreciate the way McCain's hired hands tried to run over her, and treated her as an ignorant bumpkin who should just shut up and do what she was told.

I think the lady would be a disaster as president.  But I also have a little sympathy for her.

Big fluffy deal she had flash cards. She just did not have the financial means to buy a teleprompter like the great spender had……………………………………

I imagine the McCain camp had the financial means to buy a teleprompter for each day of the week, and two for Sunday.  And they used them.  But the flash cards were a training device to bring her up to speed on issues during practice sessions.  They weren't held up for her to read during her actual speeches, as far as I know.

However, lest you think the use of teleprompters is somehow unique to Obama:

In a constant effort to improve its candidate's big speech abilities, the McCain campaign is using both a large flat screen monitor and two side panel teleprompters for the candidate to read his prepared remarks on the housing crisis outside of LA, which he is delivering now. Teleprompters are nothing new for any of these candidates, but the McCain campaign had expressed concern that the side panel prompters made McCain look like he was watching a tennis match, but by using the large monitor fixed in the back of the room, McCain rarely shifted his gaze from straight ahead.

The hope is that by surrounding him with teleprompters McCain will be able to look more natural speaking to nearly 20 cameras in what will be his most extensive remarks on the housing crisis to date.

Here's an article about Sarah Palin's use of the teleprompter at the Republican Convention:

George W Bush not only used a teleprompter; it had phonetic cheats on it to make sure he pronounced the names of countries and political leaders properly:

The GOP dumped plenty of money into her.  From training, to staff, to clothing, to try and dress her up as a stand up all around great politician since no one out side of Alaska had ever heard of her.

grinOMG do y'all not recognize a joke when you see it. I know what flash cards are and I am fully aware that all politicians use Teleprompters.

Similarly I am aware that the McCain campaign had plenty of money.  Come on guys you don’t need to defend Obama against a joke about teleprompters. This screw up gives you lots of stuff to defend him against like his latest bow to the leader of another nation. He seems ready to bow down to just about anybody but the American people that he is robbing………. Ok now you can defend his bowing propinquities instead of his teleprompter ….. grin
